“ L’Erotism”: An independant Fine Art Exhibition
In
light of the emptiness and discontent we experience in these
unprecedented socio-historical times, individualism and distance, fear
and rejection of unity, awkward and unknown, our relationships,
perpetually having been affected by our past and present, results of an
imposed patriarchal and outdated society- and it’s painful social
conditionings, “ἄλγος (álgos, “pain”).
Plead to a lack of morality, depth and meaning.
As
mere spectators, we permit and prolong the suffering of these
consequences, consciously or unconsciously. We continue to hide behind
an obsolete rationality, a passive and conforming social convention that
lingers from our past into our contemporary practice.
As artists
of the new century, we must rebel against this submissive and enslaved
mentality. Reject the mass culture, its inordinately individualistic
nature, the consumerist mentality and the elitist reality of the art
market. I call on artists to join creative forces, to create a
revolutionary collective designed to shake the foundations of the art
establishment, the prestige of academic art theory and the high
valuations of the commercial art market.
Art as a collective.
“Using culture
to outright reject culture
the best revolution now
is a revolution of being
it’s a revolution of now
Not lookin to the future or the past
being here now,
that implies it all,
when you can simply be here now,
all there is ,
is loving awareness
it’s revolution of love
unconditional
a return to love
a revolution of silence
containing all the sounds”- Andrew Clark
This
exhibition intends to convey the perplexing emotions surrounding the
Eros, love and desire in the form of dream-work, active imagination and
creative expression, flourishing into a climatic completion and
integration that leads to a transformative experience for the human
eros-psyche dynamic.
The intense desire to consume love and the need for understanding.
Within
the gallery space, we have considered intriguing juxtapositions between
the artworks, creating an interesting dialogue between the piece and
the audience, suggests the mysteries of the unconscious, eroticism and
death through a narrative:
“the journey from the uterine night,
the darkness which is below us (the earth) and known only to the dead,
the colour black is the night that preceded not only life on earth but
our internal world too.
To be absent
to remove from existence what one no longer wants to see.
Is the danger that the other is not there.
“The
light, where colour exists, where colours have a meaning. The light
creates, exists, it is to make, to come, to arrive, to be born, to
emerge" Pascal Quidgnard
This exuberant exhibitions combines the
inner experience of erotism, transgression, death and decadance with the
elements of sensuality, the sacred and the taboo, the mystic symbolism
of the luminaries ( the sun and the moon) and the religious plethora.

will be artistic and eclectic. You won’t be satisfied to marry a person
who runs with the crowd. You’ll want that person to stand on their own
two feet and embrace their unique individuality. You will
sometimes appear to others as distant and hard to reach. However, this
may seem on the surface, deep down inside you long for strong connection
and want to marry your best friend.”

This contact at a tight orb can be really sweet and passionate for a
couple to have. It can turn friends into lovers. It is best described as
a constant fiery/emotional romantic aura to the interactions. It is so
lovely to see between two people. It makes outsiders smile and they can
literally feel the chemistry between them. It is cozy yet smothering
with flames of love. I call this one of the true love contacts because
it is even more emotional than the conjunction. It is commonly seen
between family members and close friends too. If no romantic
relationship is involved it’ll be simply cozy and tight knit. They
rarely let outsiders come between their bonds. It is a ride or die
connection. Especially at tight orb. They truly want to protect and take
care of one another sensual , sexual and emotional needs. As well as
one another’s health and safety. They can be very creative and
imaginative together. They feel so inspired when they are around each
other. It kind of reminds me of peter Pan and Wendy. They were very
emotionally and psychically linked but they had a hard time being
together due to circumstances. They loved one another truly and it was
real innocent , pure love. It doesn’t have to be sexual or romantic at
all. It just exists on a spiritual level. This aspect makes two people
feel like they were destined to meet. They feel at home yet they feel an
adventure together. They are pulled together by their big love for each
other and feel like better people. They give more to others around them
and are likely to see each other as marriage material of other aspects
supporting this one. It is hard to deny because of the loving pull it
has. The two will be touchy and snuggled up to each other often. Even
when they are annoyed at one another they find reasons to physically
touch each other. It is pretty cute. This helps other unstable or
negative contacts. It shows a pure and profound love that is emotional
based. They do not always agree on things but they are willing to
sacrifice for the other in a caring way. Their love enlivens and takes
care of each other in ways they didn’t realize perhaps initially.
